We are looking for a meticulous and efficient Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska. Your duties will include preparing shipping labels, verifying order details, packaging items securely, and coordinating with carriers for pickup. You will work closely with other members of the warehouse staff to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow. This role involves regular physical activity, including moderate Lifting and standing for extended periods. Attention to detail is critical to minimize errors in shipping documentation and product counts. You will also be responsible for maintaining shipping supplies and reporting any stock needs to management. Responsibilities:
- Process all outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Generate shipping labels and prepare necessary documentation (e.g., bills of lading).
- Verify order contents against shipping manifests to ensure accuracy.
- Package products securely and appropriately for transit.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Maintain organized records of all shipments processed.
- Communicate with internal teams regarding shipping statuses and any potential issues.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety regulations and procedures, including the use of PPE .
- Monitor and manage inventory of shipping supplies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping clerk or similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier websites.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
