We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Atlanta, Georgia. This crucial role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, contributing directly to the efficiency of our warehouse operations. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to maintain optimal stock levels. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure timely resolution of inventory issues.
- Monitor stock rotation and identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Implement and adhere to inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Ensure proper labeling and organization of all inventory items.
- Assist with the development and implementation of inventory control strategies.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, accuracy, and movement.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Be prepared for tasks that may involve significant Lifting requirements, up to 50 lbs, as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in WMS and other inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety regulations.
