Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic warehouse team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, ensuring that stock levels are precise and readily available for fulfillment operations. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to operational excellence within the logistics industry. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to minimize stock loss and damage. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a deep understanding of warehouse management systems.Responsibilities:
  • Conducting physical counts of inventory to verify records.
  • Investigating and resolving discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and reporting on stock status.
  • Implementing and enforcing inventory control procedures.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized stockroom environment.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure efficient material flow.
  • Utilizing warehouse management software (WMS) for inventory tracking.
  • Participating in ongoing training and development related to inventory management best practices.
  • Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Assisting with receiving and shipping processes as needed.
  • Demonstrating a strong understanding of safe lifting techniques and material handling.
  • Contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the warehouse logistics operation.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
  • Proficiency in WMS and inventory management software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks requiring frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs).
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • A commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
