Seeking a detail-oriented Order Picker to join our logistics team in Sacramento, California! In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from our warehouse inventory to fulfill customer orders. Efficiency, accuracy, and a strong commitment to safety are paramount. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations based on order pick lists.
- Verify product information and quantities before and after picking.
- Operate scanning devices to update inventory status.
- Ensure picked items are prepared for packing or staging.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counting.
- Perform all lifting tasks safely and in accordance with ergonomic principles.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory or orders.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse picking role is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists accurately.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and warehouse technology.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and performing tasks involving lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Understanding of warehouse safety and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory management.
