Opportunity for an Inventory Control Specialist in Richmond, Virginia! We are looking for a meticulous and organized individual to join our team and oversee the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to minimize stock loss. Your role is critical to the efficiency of our logistics and supply chain operations. You will work closely with warehouse associates and management to ensure that inventory data is precise and up-to-date. Safety is a core value, and adherence to all Safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is mandatory. While primarily focused on data and accuracy, the role may involve some movement of goods and requires the ability to perform moderate Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and monitor expiration dates where applicable.
- Process inventory adjustments accurately in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and fulfillment teams to ensure data accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area.
- Ensure adherence to all Safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Support logistics and operations planning with accurate inventory information.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with Logistics principles and warehouse operations.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting and physical tasks as required.
- Understanding of workplace Safety practices.
