We are looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our vibrant logistics team in Miami, Florida. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring materials are moved, stored, and organized efficiently and safely. As a Material Handler, you will operate various pieces of equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery, to transport goods throughout the facility. Your responsibilities will also include loading and unloading trucks, receiving and stocking inventory, and assisting with order fulfillment as needed. A strong emphasis is placed on safety; you must adhere to all company safety protocols and correctly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE). This physically demanding role requires strength, coordination, and the ability to perform significant lifting and material manipulation. Experience with a variety of warehouse equipment and a solid understanding of logistics principles are key. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Receive, inspect, and stock incoming inventory.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and staging for shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure the proper use of PPE at all times.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on equipment.
- Support overall logistics and warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or proven experience.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
- Knowledge of logistics and inventory control principles.
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
