We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your keen eye for detail and understanding of inventory management systems will be key to success. This position involves regular cycle counting, discrepancy investigation, and the implementation of process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy within our logistics operations. We prioritize a safe working environment, and adherence to all Safety protocols, including the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to perform moderate Lifting of inventory items. You will be expected to follow best practices for Lifting to ensure personal safety and the integrity of the products. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS (Warehouse Management System).
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure optimal inventory rotation.
- Process inventory adjustments and transfers.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes to maintain accuracy.
- Perform tasks involving Lifting and organizing inventory.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency in WMS software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication abilities.
