We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to prevent loss and damage.
- Monitor stock levels and identify items requiring replenishment or adjustments.
- Manage the receiving and put-away process, ensuring accurate data entry.
- Track and manage returned goods, updating inventory records accordingly.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth inventory flow.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, focusing on inventory storage.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment for moving inventory as needed.
- Understand and apply principles of effective inventory management.
- Prepare reports on inventory accuracy, adjustments, and stock levels.
- The role may involve occasional lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role within a warehouse environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Knowledge of warehouse logistics and supply chain best practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Understanding of safety protocols and adherence to PPE requirements is mandatory. Must be comfortable with physical tasks, including occasional lifting. A proactive approach to identifying and resolving inventory issues is key.
