We are seeking a motivated and reliable Distribution Center Associate to join our dynamic team in Houston, Texas. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring the efficient flow of goods through our facility. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping products. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will directly impact customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. We value a strong work ethic and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and report any discrepancies.
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to customer specifications and company standards.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and securely.
- Perform quality checks on products to ensure they meet standards before shipping.
- Follow all established safety procedures and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Contribute to a team-oriented atmosphere, collaborating with colleagues to meet daily goals.
- Understand and support the overall logistics and supply chain processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance targets.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- The role may involve significant lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not required. A strong understanding of workplace safety and a commitment to preventing accidents are essential. Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime as needed. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are required. A keen eye for detail is necessary for accurate order fulfillment. This is a physically demanding role that requires consistent lifting and standing for extended periods.
