Job Summary:
Are you meticulous and organized? Our Washington, D.C. facility is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our critical Logistics team. This role is vital for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for overseeing stock levels, conducting regular audits, and implementing procedures to minimize discrepancies and losses. A sharp eye for detail, proactive problem-solving, and a strong commitment to Safety are essential for this position.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor stock levels and advise on reorder points and potential shortages.
  • Track the movement of goods within the warehouse and ensure proper documentation.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, safely and efficiently when required for inventory tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, paying close attention to stock placement.
  • Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to record and track inventory data.
  • Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure seamless Logistics flow.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in inventory management.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software. Ability to perform moderate Lifting, up to 40 pounds. Must have excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Knowledge of warehouse Safety protocols. Must comply with all PPE requirements. This role is fundamental to our Logistics success and demands reliability and accuracy. Must be able to work independently and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
