Attention Certified Forklift Operators! Our busy Boston, Massachusetts warehouse is seeking experienced individuals to join our Logistics team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our facility. Your expertise in operating various types of forklifts will ensure that products are handled correctly, contributing to the smooth flow of goods. Safety is our top priority, and we expect all operators to adhere to stringent protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers with accuracy and efficiency.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas, such as receiving, storage, and shipping docks.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues or maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory levels.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas for optimal efficiency and accessibility.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely order fulfillment and shipment.
- Participate in regular Safety training sessions and contribute to a culture of Safety.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
- Ensure all activities comply with Logistics best practices.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification is required. Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment. Ability to perform moderate Lifting, up to 60 pounds, when necessary. Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the role, including standing and climbing. Excellent knowledge of warehouse Safety regulations. Must comply with all PPE requirements. This position is vital to our Logistics operations and requires a highly reliable and safety-conscious individual. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
