Are you an efficient and detail-oriented individual looking for a role in the logistics sector? We are hiring Order Pickers for our busy warehouse in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting products for customer orders, ensuring timely dispatch and customer satisfaction. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Your contribution is key to our daily operations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using an RF scanner or pick list.
- Locate products within the warehouse, ensuring correct item and quantity.
- Pack items securely for shipment, preparing them for the shipping department.
- Stage completed orders in the designated areas.
- Operate manual equipment like pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and general warehouse environment.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts.
- Follow all warehouse Safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to order fulfillment.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to a supervisor promptly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Understanding of Safety best practices in a warehouse setting.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, such as safety shoes and gloves.
- Good communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
