Our Kansas City, Missouri facility is seeking an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to oversee and manage daily warehouse operations. This pivotal role ensures the smooth and efficient functioning of our entire supply chain, from receiving to shipping. You will be responsible for coordinating staff activities, managing inventory levels, optimizing storage space, and ensuring that all logistics processes are executed according to plan. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential. Maintaining a safe working environment is our top priority; you will be expected to enforce all Safety regulations and ensure the proper use of PPE by all warehouse personnel. This position requires the ability to plan and execute tasks, delegate responsibilities effectively, and resolve any operational issues that may arise. While not solely a physical role, occasional Lifting of items up to 40 lbs may be necessary during audits or specific operational needs. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization.
- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Train and manage warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
- Implement and enforce all Safety policies and procedures.
- Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment.
- Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring compliance with all logistics requirements.
- Ensure appropriate use of PPE by all team members.
- Assist with problem-solving and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations and coordination.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform moderate physical tasks, including occasional Lifting up to 40 lbs.
