Join our team as a Receiving Clerk in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and play a vital role in our warehouse operations. This position is responsible for efficiently and accurately processing all incoming shipments. You will be the first point of contact for goods entering our facility, ensuring that all deliveries are documented, inspected, and put away correctly. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining the integrity of our inventory and logistics processes.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Inspect goods for any damage or discrepancies and document findings.
- Accurately record received inventory into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Label and stage incoming items for distribution to appropriate storage areas.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers and internal departments regarding deliveries.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as needed.
- Support the overall logistics flow by ensuring timely processing of inbound goods.
- Identify and report any potential issues with shipments or receiving processes.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receiving, inventory, or warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency with computers and basic data entry.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all PPE requirements.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Reliability and punctuality.
