We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to support our warehouse operations in Jacksonville, Florida. This role is fundamental to the efficient flow of goods within our logistics facility. Responsibilities include receiving and inspecting inventory, accurately picking and packing customer orders, and preparing items for shipment. You will play a vital part in ensuring inventory accuracy and timely order fulfillment. Safety is a cornerstone of our operations; therefore, strict adherence to safety guidelines and the correct usage of PPE are non-negotiable. This position involves regular physical exertion, including lifting and moving materials.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, verify, and accurately store incoming inventory.
- Fulfill customer orders by picking and packing items with precision.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and proficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock checks to ensure data accuracy.
- Report any damage, discrepancies, or safety hazards immediately.
- Follow all company safety protocols and procedures, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles as required.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize warehouse workflows.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or material handling capacity is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment safely.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control principles.
- Physical capability to handle demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Commitment to following safety rules and wearing all required PPE.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
