Are you a skilled and safety-conscious professional? We are hiring a Forklift Operator for our busy warehouse in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This role is critical for the efficient movement of materials and finished goods within our facility. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to transport inventory, load and unload trucks, and assist with stocking and retrieving products. You must have a proven track record of safe operation and a thorough understanding of warehouse safety procedures. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a secure work environment are paramount. This position is key to our logistics operations and overall warehouse productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials and products from trucks and into warehouse storage.
- Transport inventory to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and arrange materials according to warehouse layout and safety standards.
- Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance of forklift equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and stock verification.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated understanding of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Familiarity with logistics and warehouse operations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of the importance of PPE.
