We are hiring a motivated Distribution Center Associate for our facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring efficient movement and processing of goods. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will engage in a variety of tasks, including receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, picking and packing orders accurately, stocking shelves, and preparing items for shipment. You will operate material handling equipment and maintain a clean and organized work environment. A strong focus on safety is essential; adherence to all safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and safe lifting practices is mandatory. The ideal candidate possesses a keen attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments.
- Pick and pack orders accurately according to specifications.
- Stock shelves and maintain inventory organization.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the distribution center.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations, including proper use of PPE.
- Perform lifting and carrying of materials as needed.
- Participate in inventory counts and other warehouse activities.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Prior warehouse or distribution center experience is a plus. Ability to perform lifting up to 50 pounds consistently. Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain operations. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods. Team player with good communication skills. Commitment to a safe working environment. Reliability and punctuality are essential. Experience with RF scanners is beneficial.
