In this role, you will be instrumental in moving materials efficiently and safely throughout our warehouse, ensuring that our inventory is managed effectively and that orders are processed promptly. Your expertise with various types of forklifts will be key to maintaining operational flow and supporting our logistics network. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of loads.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free of obstructions.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Follow all instructions from supervisors regarding material handling and storage.
- Participate in regular safety training sessions to stay updated on best practices in warehouse logistics.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed, contributing to overall team success.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a forklift operator with valid certification. Ability to operate multiple types of forklifts. Demonstrated understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols. Capacity for physical work, including frequent lifting up to 50-75 pounds. Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment and stand for extended periods. Excellent attention to detail and hand-eye coordination. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Experience with inventory control systems is a plus. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a drug screening and background check.
