Our rapidly growing logistics company in Salt Lake City, Utah, is looking for experienced Forklift Operators to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials within our warehouse. You will ensure the proper handling of goods, maintain accurate inventory records, and contribute to the overall productivity of our distribution center. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will be critical to supporting our supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up) to move pallets, cases, and other materials.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers with efficiency and care.
- Stack and stage inventory accurately in designated warehouse locations.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working order.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear aisles and workspaces.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- Involves regular Lifting of products and materials, often requiring forklift assistance.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a valid certification. Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics. Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime. Strong understanding of safe forklift operating procedures. Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment, including frequent Lifting and standing. Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient workplace.
