Join our team as a Shipping Clerk in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and become a vital part of our distribution operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately processed, documented, and prepared for dispatch. This includes verifying order details, selecting appropriate packaging, applying shipping labels, and coordinating with carriers. A meticulous approach to documentation and a strong understanding of shipping procedures are essential. This role directly impacts customer satisfaction and the efficiency of our Logistics network. We are committed to providing a safe work environment where adherence to all Safety protocols is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Process outgoing shipments, verifying order accuracy against shipping documents.
- Select appropriate packaging materials to ensure product safety during transit.
- Operate shipping software and generate shipping labels and manifests.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all DOT and carrier regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries related to shipping status.
- Perform general warehouse duties as needed, including organizing the shipping area.
- Adhere to all Safety procedures and wear mandated PPE .
- Assist with tasks involving occasional Lifting of packages up to 40 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related administrative role is preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and general computer skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with shipping regulations and procedures.
