Customs and Border Protection Officer

The CBP Office of Field Operations is responsible for enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws at U.S. ports of entry. This includes inspecting individuals and conveyances, determining admissibility for entry into the United States, and preventing the illegal entry of individuals and prohibited goods.

• Detaining suspected violators using proper law enforcement methods

1. Enforcing laws relating to importing/exporting merchandise
2. Utilizing intelligence techniques/behavior analysis to identify potential threats/prevent smuggling, etc.
