The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking highly skilled individuals to fill the position of Law Enforcement Officer, also known as a Border Patrol Agent.
Job Description:
- Safeguard America's borders and protect national security by enforcing laws, preventing crimes, and addressing immigration issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
For GL-5 Grade Level:
Possess one year of general work experience that demonstrates ability to take charge, make sound decisions in stressful situations, learn regulations through classroom training or on-the-job instruction, gather concise information through questioning observation.
OR Education Substitution - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university OR Combination of Experience & Education based on resume/transcripts submitted with application.
Bachelor's Degree may be substituted with Superior Academic Achievement based on GPA/class standing/honor society membership.
Candidates applying for this grade level must demonstrate skills necessary for (GL-7) duties described below. This includes law enforcement procedures making arrests using firearms dealing effectively with people in connection with law enforcement matters analyzing information rapidly making prompt decisions determining violations correcting/rehabilitating offenders enhancing/maintaining contact network informants etc ,¦ which will be evaluated at time appointment made,
