Customs and Border Protection Officer Job Description

• This is a high-level position that requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

The officer will be responsible for enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations. They must have the ability to learn and apply new information quickly. The following qualifications are required:

• A minimum of three (3) years full-time general work experience or a bachelor's degree in any field.


• A combination of specialized work experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level AND graduate level education from an accredited college or university.

If you possess previous law enforcement or military law enforcement experience, you may qualify at the GS-9 grade level.
