• Enforce Laws and Regulations:  Detain suspected violators of federal, state or local laws using proper law enforcement methods.


• Facilitate Trade and Travel:  Conduct inspections of individuals and conveyances while facilitating the flow of legitimate trade and travel.


• Conduct Interviews:  Gather information from suspects to determine the appropriate course of action during interviews for law enforcement purposes.


• Risk Assessment:  Utilize intelligence techniques to assess potential threats and make informed decisions about admissibility into the United States.
