Position Summary:
The Workday Platform Security Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security controls across the Workday HCM and Finance modules. This role ensures the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of sensitive HR and financial data by administering and auditing security protocols, resolving access issues, monitoring security compliance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for system improvements, regulatory requirements, and audits.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and maintain Workday security for HCM and Finance, including roles, domains, business process permissions, and security groups. Manage user access provisioning and de-provisioning for both HR and Finance modules, ensuring alignment with security policies and audit requirements. Monitor and audit Workday HCM and Finance security configurations to maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Conduct regular security reviews and risk assessments of the Workday platform, targeting both HR and financial data sets. Troubleshoot and resolve security-related tickets, incidents, and inquiries from users across HR, Finance, and other functions. Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, internal audit, and business stakeholders to gather security requirements and translate them into Workday configurations. Participate in Workday release updates, regression testing, and implementation of security-related enhancements for both HCM and Finance modules. Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of all security administration processes, configurations, and policies relevant to both HR and Finance components. Support internal and external audits by supplying evidence and responding to security-related queries for both HR and Finance areas. Stay abreast of Workday HCM and Finance security best practices, industry trends, and emerging threats. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or related field; or equivalent work experience. 2+ years of direct experience administering security in Workday, encompassing HCM and, ideally, Finance modules. Strong knowledge of Workday security frameworks across both HCM and Finance, including security groups, domains, business processes, and role-based access control. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Experience supporting audits and regulatory compliance efforts (e.g., SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
