Crown Point is seeking a Data Engineer to serve as the Product Owner for a Data Architecture team supporting a large-scale government data platform. This role bridges mission needs, data architecture, and engineering execution by owning the technical backlog and guiding the design and evolution of enterprise data capabilities.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with modern data architectures, including data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, relational and NoSQL databases, and streaming data platforms, as well as semantic technologies such as ontologies, RDF, and graph databases. The role requires close collaboration with stakeholders, architects, and engineers to define requirements, prioritize work, and deliver scalable, mission-aligned data solutions.
Required Education/Experience:
Top Secret Clearance with a Polygraph is REQUIRED for this position Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical degree. Requirement for Bachelor's Degree or technical degree may be met with a minimum 8 years' demonstrated experience in related technical field. Must have a minimum of 8 years' demonstrated experience across data architecture, modeling, and data schema design and development. Must have a minimum of 5 years' demonstrated experience in the implementation of data technologies and capabilities such as data fabric, data mesh, data warehouse, data lake, or data lakehouse. Must have a minimum of 5 years' demonstrated experience with graph, NoSQL, SQL, or other relational and non-relational database technologies, with 3 years' experience in graph databases. Desired Education/Experience:
Have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics. Have a minimum of 2 years' demonstrated experience enhancing data fabric architectures to support new features, implementing data fabric governance, and improving the performance and scalability of data fabrics. Have a minimum of 2 years' demonstrated experience designing complex and inter-dependent data models for analytic and Machine Learning use cases. Have a minimum of 2 years' demonstrated experience architecting the integration of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software applications, specialized software, or databases. Have a minimum of 2 years' demonstrated experience with one or more leading cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services, Azure, and Google Cloud. Have a minimum of 2 years' demonstrated experience in Big Data solutions, data architectures, data governance, data integration, business analytics, AI/ML, or simulation analytics. Have a minimum of 5 years' demonstrated experience with DoDAF and Enterprise Architectures Experience with Stardog and containerized platforms such as OpenShift is highly desirable

$180,000 - $230,000 per year
