We are seeking an experienced Lead Cloud Software Architect who brings a wealth of expertise in cloud technologies, software design, and development practices. In this critical role, you will guide our architectural vision, design, and execution of scalable and reliable cloud-based systems. Your ability to cultivate a robust technical culture and employ best practices will be vital in mentoring our engineering teams to deliver top-notch software solutions aligned with our business objectives. Furthermore, your proficiency in databases and data architecture will play a key role in enhancing our data infrastructure for effective data processing and analytics. Key Responsibilities
Design and manage the architecture of sophisticated cloud-based systems, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and secure. Develop and uphold strategies for data architecture, including data models, data flow diagrams, and management practices. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to convert business requirements into effective technical solutions. Set and enforce best practices for software design, development, and deployment. Lead the evaluation and integration of suitable cloud technologies, databases, and tools. Mentor and support engineering teams in adopting best practices and enhancing their technical expertise. Conduct architecture reviews and provide constructive feedback to secure high-quality outcomes. Create and maintain thorough architectural and data management documentation. Promote continuous improvement in development processes, tools, and methodologies. Implement and oversee data governance practices to ensure data quality, consistency, and security. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to foster innovation within the team. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 8 years of software development experience, with a focus on cloud architectures. Deep experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Strong understanding of software design patterns, principles, and best practices. Demonstrated leadership in designing the architecture of large-scale distributed systems. In-depth knowledge of database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data management practices. Experience in designing and implementing data architectures, including data warehousing, ETL processes, and data governance. Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and automated testing. Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a strategic and critical thinking mindset. Strong communication and leadership skills, capable of influencing and inspiring teams. Knowledge of agile methodologies and a collaborative spirit. Reporting
