We are currently seeking Journeyman red Seal Insulators for a 3 month project in one of our client camp locations in Bathurst Inlet, Nunavut. The ideal candidates will have proven experience in applying spray foam insulation and will be committed to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, remove, and repair insulation materials per project specifications and safety standards.
  • Apply spray foam insulation with attention to efficiency, thermal performance, and material handling.
  • Install sheet metal coverings on pipes, valves, tanks, and HVAC systems.
  • Perform quality checks and document work according to client and MATRIX guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other trades and supervision to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Report any issues, hazards, or non-conformances promptly.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Red Seal Insulator certification.
  • Proven experience in spray foam insulation application.
  • Strong knowledge of insulation materials, tools, and installation techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret project drawings and specifications.
  • Must be able to work in potentially challenging Arctic conditions; willingness to relocate to Bathurst Inlet for the project duration.
  • Valid safety certifications as required (e.g., CPR/First Aid, H2S Alive, WHMIS, Fall Protection) – specify if needed.
  • Strong safety mindset and commitment to high quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a crew; good communication skills.

Benefits

4 weeks in 2 weeks out rotation in Camp. All food and accommodations provided.

Charter flight to and from camp out of Edmonton - provided.

12 hours daily shifts,

Day rate of between $ per day, depending on skills and experience.
