What We're Looking For:
A skilled video editor who can bring historical content to life through dynamic editing, motion graphics, and custom map visuals.
The Work Includes:
Editing long-form documentary-style videos (typically 15-40 minutes)
Creating animated maps showing troop movements, territorial changes, and the shifting political landscape of medieval Asia
Designing motion graphics for: family trees/genealogies, timelines, key events, and name/title cards
Syncing visuals to narration with appropriate pacing
Adding dramatic music and sound design
Sourcing and integrating historical imagery, paintings, and manuscripts
Required Skills:
Proficiency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut
Strong motion graphics skills (After Effects preferred)
Experience creating animated maps or willingness to develop this
Ability to work with complex historical content and keep it visually engaging
Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines
Bonus Points If You:
Have experience editing history/documentary content
Can create custom illustrations or have access to stock resources
Please include your portfolio/showreel (especially any map animations or history-related work), your typical turnaround time, and your rate per video or per hour.
We're looking for someone for ongoing work
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 30 hours per week.
