What you'll be doing
- Build and maintain microservices
- Design and implement REST APIs + JSON schema validation
- Work on key product flows: auth, onboarding, billing, documents, workflows
- Integrate with 3rd party services (Stripe, auth, notifications, etc.)
- Work with async architecture (message bus, background jobs, events)
- Collaborate closely with backend lead, frontend, product, and QA to ship reliably
Stack / environment:
- Backend: , Fastify, REST APIs, JSON Schemas
- Architecture: Microservices + async message bus
- Cloud: Azure
- Data: Relational DB + aggregated/materialised views
- Infra: Terraform, CI/CD (Git-based pipelines)
What we're looking for:
- 3+ years backend experience
- Strong + TypeScript
- Comfortable with REST API design, validation, and clean architecture
- Experience with microservices + async/event-driven patterns
- Good communicator, product-minded, collaborative
- 4–5 hours overlap with London time
Contract:
- Remote, full-time
- Fixed monthly pay: 3,000 USD
- 3 months contract for now (could turn into a longer contract)
