OVERVIEW

The Financial Analyst will provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support Executive and Senior Management. In this role, the Financial Analyst will ensure proper execution of routine analysis/reports and play an active role in management strategy meetings as well as provide analytical insight that helps guide the strategic decision-making process.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for gathering, computing and analyzing current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures
• Prepares data to be used for the reporting of operational, financial, marketing and gaming-related analyses, statistical analysis, ad hoc reporting, database querying, and data enhancement
• Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of data as well as data integrity
• Researches, validates and implements advanced statistical and data mining techniques that will be used to develop direct marketing programs
• Support Senior Management Team and Departments Leads with in-depth analysis
• Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance with minimum 3 years' experience in a related position  
• A recognized accounting designation (CA, CMA or CGA) is preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (i.e. Power Query, Macros)
• Casino/Hospitality knowledge would be an asset
• Individual should be analytical, flexible, team-oriented, and have excellent interpersonal skills 
• Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task and highly organized
• Experience with analytic tools/software and some hands-on database experience strongly preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Navision or Jet Reports would be an asset
• Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
• Communication Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to communicate effectively in a group setting or presentation setting with associates, upper management and guests

CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to obtain a valid GPEB registration 
• Ability to complete all BCLC required trainings
• Serving it Right Certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Able to lift, handle, and transport materials that are over 20lbs
• Required to sit, stand and walk during working hours 
• Must be able to work extended hours during the week and on weekends is often required to meet deadlines
