WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR ?
Coordinator, Content & Social Media
The Content & Social Media Coordinator, as part of the Content and Social Media team, will be responsible for creating, executing, and publishing content across the National Bank Open's social media channels, as well as other related digital platforms. The individual will also be responsible for the following:
- Contribute to content planning ahead of the tournament (advance visual creation, ideation).
- Support the execution of daily social media content during the tournament (graphic content creation, caption writing, post distribution).
- Manage community engagement across social media platforms (direct messages and comments).
- Participate in the execution of the tournament's influencer marketing plan (coordination and hosting of influencers).
- Develop and implement engaging social media strategies to interact with and grow our audience across multiple platforms.
- Ensure consistency in tone and voice across all tournament platforms.
- Organize and archive photos and videos captured via mobile devices, ensuring they are accessible for future use by the tournament team.
- Use Sprout Social to tag all published content accurately for analytic tracking and reporting.
- Participate in meetings and prepare post-tournament reports, while providing coverage for other channels when required.
WHO YOU ARE ?
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (in progress or completed).
- Experience in the sports industry, particularly tennis and a passion for the sport are considered assets.
- Due to the nature of the role, strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required to manage Tennis Canada's social media channels.
- Proven experience developing and executing impactful social media strategies.
- Proficiency with major social media platforms and tools such as SproutSocial and content production software.
- A passion for marketing innovation, with a continuous drive to experiment, analyze, and optimize performance.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Employment period: July 6 to August 17, 2026
- Contract: Full-time, around 35 hours a week
- Some evenings and weekend work are required, and extended hours will occur during the National Bank Open.
- Availability required throughout the National Bank Open from August 1 to August 13 (inclusive)
