About the role: The Junior Accountant Co-op will have the opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to the full accounting cycle and assist the Senior Financial Analyst with recording business transactions and analyzing business performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop technical skills in areas such as bookkeeping, compilation, and audit
  • Summarize current financial status by collaborating with the team and preparing relevant documentation and reports on a monthly basis
  • Assist in all aspects of the monthly close process, including preparing and posting journal entries
  • Assist with tracking banking records and performing reconciliations, maintaining high-standard documentation related to various investments, including hedge funds, private equity, securities, bonds, etc.
  • Support data automation projects related to reconciliation, financial close, and reporting
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects as required

What you need to succeed

 Skills & Qualifications

  • 3rd or 4th year student majoring in Accounting or another finance-related field
  • Advanced MS Office skills, with strong proficiency in Excel
  • Knowledge of Excel VBA or Python is considered an asset
  • Self-starter who proactively volunteers for new opportunities and projects
  • Ability to work toward and meet agreed deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Fluency in both English and Chinese is considered an asset
  • Available to begin in the last week of April 2026, with an expected commitment of approximately 8 months
