This is a contract position ending August 21, 2026.
Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.
You will be working on a remote schedule as part of Fidelity's dynamic working arrangement.
Who We Are
Fidelity Clearing Canada (FCC) is the leading independent clearing broker and custodian in the Canadian market. We provide trade execution, clearing; custody and back-office support services to Canadian-based brokerage firms and registered Portfolio Managers.
FCC is developing industry leading advisor platform capabilities for independent Portfolio Managers and Broker Dealer firms. This development will focus on providing integrated service, productivity, and revenue growth tools through implementation of systems supporting business process automation. This role will be part of the technology team tasked with developing business critical technology solutions designed to automate manual processes.
What You Will Do
The Full Stack Developer, FCC is responsible for developing, enhancing, modifying, and maintaining software solutions for internal and external clients, with a focus on automating business processes.
Provide solution architecture, document design, code, develop program logic for new applications, analyze and modify logic in existing applications and ensures that system improvements, particularly those related to process automation, are successfully implemented.
Ensure that functional specifications can be implemented technically while developing and innovating commercial technology assets to meet objectives.
Implement the best practices of Agile and DevOps for development to deliver quality products predictably and consistently.
Develop unit tests to ensure high quality code and be accountable for the quality of the product delivered.
Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance
Liaise with internal user groups as needed to effectively program applications based on business and systems requirements.
What We Are Looking For
5+ years of experience in web development, object-oriented analysis and design, and service-oriented architecture knowledge.
Experience designing and developing web-based platform to automate business processes.
Strong knowledge of modern automation architecture, technologies, and processes.
Experience with automation platforms (Appian, RPA or similar).
Hands-on experience with the following Angular (Typescript), JavaScript, Java, Hibernate, RESTful API, Spring Boot - creation of microservices.
Knowledge of SQL and database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server.
Experience in using Agile project management tools (JIRA, Confluence), and automated delivery pipelines CI/CD.
Experience developing cloud native solutions according to industry best practices.
Unix/Linux operating system knowledge.
The following are considered an asset
Experience with cloud-based applications on AWS.
Wealth management, brokerage, or financial services experience.
Completion of the Canadian Securities Course.

Education And Experience
University Degree/College Diploma, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
For this role, your total rewards include
Base Salary and Discretionary Performance Bonus A competitive annual range of $123,000 to $152,000, based on your experience and qualifications.
