15 Wing, headquartered in Moose Jaw, is the centre of RCAF aircrew training and is comprised of 2 Canadian Forces Flying Training School (CFFTS) and 431 Air Demonstration Squadron (CF Snowbirds) both located in Moose Jaw, SK. The Wing is the principal site of the NATO Flying Training in Canada (NFTC).
Summary
Job Summary
The Plumber position is located in Moose Jaw, SK and reports directly to the Site Supervisor. This position is responsible for the inspection, testing and maintenance of all NFTC facilities. Responsibilities include: the water distribution system, fire hydrants, maintenance and installation of domestic plumbing and heating systems, fire booster pumps, water reservoirs, the water pumping station, water softening equipment, swimming pool, the storm and sanitary collection lines and manholes and the sewage pumping station.
Essential Job Functions
Perform inspections, testing, maintenance, repairs and tasks generated by the CMMS as required by regulatory standards.
Maintains and repairs domestic plumbing and hot water heating systems including fixtures, traps, electric hot water heaters, Drain Waste Vent (DWV) systems, airlines and compressors.
Maintains, checks and repairs the water distribution system, fire hydrants, water reservoirs,
The water pumping station, fire booster pumps, compressed air systems, swimming pool (including pool filter and chlorination system), oil separators and the storm and sanitary systems.
Conducts daily water tests and ensures that the pool water meets provincial pool regulations.
Maintains daily water quality and consumption records.
Orders consumables and material for preventive, periodic and corrective maintenance.
Prepares estimates for installation, repair and replacement of plumbing and heating systems.
Installs new components in accordance with working drawings and OEM recommendations.
Assists in the maintenance of domestic hot water heating systems.
Supports other trades as required.
Responsible for administrative duties with carrying out the work and is responsible for material/parts ordering and maintains accurate inventory.
Inspects subcontracted work and reports deficient work of related trades.
Responds to emergencies occurring during a shift as required.
Receives after hour emergency calls and responds as required and able.
Responsible for locating underground piping in support of dig permits.
Review drawings/ provide advice regarding construction and capital maintenance projects.
Supports and participates in CBO's Safety Program, HSE and Environmental policies and procedures.
Is responsible for maintaining a high level of security while performing and executing their scope of work.
Ensure proper maintenance and repair of all tools, equipment and vehicles.
Other duties as required within the capabilities of the individual.

Requirements
Education Requirements
Journey Person Red Seal certification in plumbing.
Five or more years of experience in a facilities maintenance environment.
Valid Gas Fitting Certification is required.
Provincial Water and Wastewater certification would be an asset
Special Qualifications
Provincial Water and Wastewater certification.
Hydrant Operation & Maintenance
Fire Extinguisher training.
Ability to understand technical documents and drawings.
Familiarity with procedures for storing and handling hazardous materials.

Saskatchewan Swimming Pool Operator Course
Skills, Abilities, And Other Requirements
Intermediate knowledge and understanding of:
Have a valid class 5 drivers license
Have valid First Aid/CPR qualification.
Must pass a medical examination, Drug and Alcohol test.
Ability to understand technical documents and drawings
Familiarity with procedures for storing and handling hazardous materials
