About the Role - Overview
We are populating and customizing a pre-built Flutter mobile app framework called SocialV (by Iqonic) that integrates with a WordPress backend using:
• LearnPress (LMS)
• BuddyPress (Social Community)
• REST API connection to Flutter app
• Android + iOS builds
The core app and WordPress backend are installed and functional. However, the platform currently needs:
• Branding customization
• Course population (LearnPress)
• Community setup (BuddyPress)
• Dummy users & structured demo content
• UX testing & refinement
• App Store & Google Play submission preparation
• Ongoing coordination with the original development team, and our internal account management team
We are looking for a highly organized, technically fluent implementer who can act as a bridge between our team and Iqonic's development team and drive this project to completion quickly.
This is a near full-time role for an initial sprint, with potential for ongoing engagement.
Core Responsibilities
1- WordPress + Plugin Configuration
• Configure and optimize LearnPress course structures
• Upload and organize course modules, lessons, media
• Configure BuddyPress groups, profiles, dynamic fields
• Create dummy users and structured demo communities
• Populate content so the app feels fully functional
• Manage media library and content formatting
• Test API sync between WP and Flutter app
2- Flutter Frontend Customization
• Apply brand styling (colors, typography, UI adjustments)
• Ensure dark/light mode consistency
• Test mobile flows:
o Signup/login
o Join group
o Take course
o Complete lesson
o Comment & interact
o Messaging features
• Identify UX issues and recommend improvements
(No need for deep custom Flutter development but familiarity required.)
3- Product Flow & UX Ownership
• Make the app feel "alive" and intuitive
• Design logical content journeys
• Ensure LMS and community functions feel seamless
• QA test across Android and iOS builds
4- Developer Liaison
• Communicate with Iqonic development team
• Translate feature requests into structured tasks
• Track change requests
• Manage testing cycles
• Ensure timelines are met
5- App Store Submission Support
• Prepare assets and metadata
• Test builds for compliance
• Assist with Google Play and Apple App Store submission
• Address review feedback if needed
Required Experience
• Strong WordPress backend experience
• Experience with LearnPress (or similar LMS)
• Experience with BuddyPress
• Familiarity with REST API integrations
• Experience testing mobile apps
• Available during US business hours to communicate with our team via Slack and Zoom as necessary
• Highly organized and proactive
Strongly Preferred
• Experience with SocialV by Iqonic
• Experience customizing Flutter app templates
• Experience submitting apps to App Store & Google Play
• Experience coordinating offshore dev teams
• Product management mindset
Time Commitment
Near full-time (30–40 hrs/week) for initial 4–6 week sprint
Ongoing support possible after launch
