Über
The client is seeking Senior Report Developers to support the migration of approximately 270 operational reports from legacy Courts systems to the new CDT solution. The selected candidates will play a key role in assessing, modernizing, designing, and migrating reports using Power BI tools, while ensuring compliance with applicable OPS standards.
Responsibilities
Participate in reporting needs assessments to understand existing operational reports
Evaluate and modernize reports in collaboration with the Project Manager and business stakeholders
Assess and define migration approaches for reports
Migrate report functionality to Power BI Desktop, or Power BI Report Builder
Design and develop reports aligned with OPS Standards and Guidelines (including AODA / WCAG 2.0 Level AA)
Perform troubleshooting and resolve issues identified during testing
Build and optimize data models for BI and analytics
Support report validation and data quality analysis
Prepare and maintain required technical documentation
Participate in knowledge transfer activities
Communicate progress, risks, and issues with project teams
Mandatory Requirements
Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience working with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Report Builder, including report development and visualization design
Minimum 4 years of experience writing and optimizing queries using SQL query languages, specifically T-SQL and/or PL-SQL.
Minimum 2 years of experience developing calculations, measures, and logic using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
Experience building, testing, and implementing complex reports and dashboards
Experience with data modelling for business intelligence and analytics
Experience working with ETL tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Microsoft SSDT)
Experience with data quality analysis and reconciliation
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience in Prototyping solutions, Database design, build, and testing, Report and dashboard design, build, and testing
Ability to design functional testing and deployment strategies
Experience conducting research and prototyping BI/analytics capabilities
Ability to provide technical guidance / SME support
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience preparing documentation and delivering knowledge transfer
