Overview
I'm looking for an experienced WordPress developer with proven Newsletter plugin expertise to set up and configure a comprehensive email newsletter system for the Meiselman Registry, an architectural archive and community platform focused on mid-century modern homes in Palm Springs.
This is a fixed-price project with clearly defined deliverables. I need someone who knows the Newsletter plugin inside and out and can deliver a polished, professional setup
What You'll Be Doing
Core Setup Tasks
- Install and configure the Newsletter plugin (premium version) on our existing WordPress site
- Create 5 custom subscriber lists/segments (homeowners, enthusiasts, professionals, preservationists, prospective buyers)
- Design 3 professional email templates that match our brand aesthetic (mid-century modern, clean, architectural)
- Build 3 subscription forms with different use cases (homepage, blog sidebar, content upgrades)
- Integrate a third-party SMTP service for reliable delivery (SendGrid, Amazon SES, Mailgun, or your recommendation)
- Set up automated welcome emails for new subscribers
- Complete testing of all forms, templates, and delivery workflows
- Documentation - create a simple guide so our team can create and send newsletters independently
Additional Configuration
- Configure proper list segmentation and tagging system
- Set up opt-in processes where appropriate
- Implement GDPR/privacy compliance features (unsubscribe, data management, consent tracking)
- Create subscription preference center so subscribers can manage their interests
- Configure analytics and reporting dashboards
- Ensure all forms and emails are mobile-responsive
- Set up automated unsubscribe workflows
- Test deliverability and optimize settings for inbox placement
- Configure bounce handling and list cleaning processes
Template Design
- Design templates that reflect our mid-century modern aesthetic
- Ensure templates work across all major email clients
- Create both HTML and plain-text versions
- Include proper alt text and accessibility features
