Let me be upfront about who I am and what I'm looking for, because I'm honestly skeptical I'll find this person on Upwork.
I run a YouTube channel at almost 64,000 subscribers covering AI, automation, and tools like Claude Code.
I spend most of my day deep in AI experiments, building things, breaking things, and documenting what works.
That means I have no shortage of material for short-form content.
What I'm missing is someone who can look at what I'm doing and say, "Stop. Record this 40-second clip right now. Here's the hook. Here's the angle. Go."
That's the job.
WHAT THIS IS NOT
Let me save us both time.
If your pitch is "I'll repurpose your long-form videos into shorts" - I've literally built my own AI tools that do this better than Opus Clip. I don't need repurposing. I need a strategist.
If you send a generic proposal about "leveraging short-form content to grow your brand" - instant skip.
If you need me to come up with every idea and you just execute - that's not what I'm hiring for.
WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY BE DOING
1) Meeting with me 2-3 times per week (short calls, 15-30 min) to review what I'm building, what's trending in the AI/tech short-form space, and plan content.
2) Giving me homework. Literally. "Record this thing. Say it like this. Use this hook. Film it vertically. Do it before Thursday." I'll take it from there and make it look great.
3) Studying the AI/tech content landscape on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts. Knowing what formats are working, what hooks are landing, what's getting shared.
4) Bringing me original short-form concepts - not repurposed clips, but native short-form ideas designed to perform on each platform.
5) Tracking what's working and adjusting. If a format pops off, we double down. If something flops, we learn and move on.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
- You'll be working directly with someone who lives in AI tools every day. If you're curious about this space, you'll learn a ton just by being in the room.
- You'll have creative ownership. I don't want a yes-person. I want someone who pushes back and says "that won't work, try this instead."
- If this goes well, this becomes a long-term role. I'm building a media presence across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts, not posting for a month and disappearing.
- You'll get to shape the short-form strategy for a channel on its way to 100K. That's a portfolio piece worth having.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- You live and breathe short-form content. TikTok, Reels, Shorts - you study what works and can explain WHY it works.
- You're proactive to the point of being annoying. You don't wait for me to ask. You come to calls with a list of ideas and a plan.
- You understand tech/AI content or are genuinely excited to learn it. You don't need to be a developer, but you need to grasp why "I built a full app using only voice commands" is a banger hook.
- You've helped a creator or brand grow on short-form. Show me the receipts.
- You're comfortable being direct. If my idea is bad, say so. I respect honesty over politeness.
- Fluent English. Timezone flexible, but must overlap with EST for calls.
IMPORTANT: This is a strategist and coach role, not an editor role. I don't need you to edit videos. I need you to think, plan, and direct. If you're the kind of person who watches 50 TikToks and can reverse-engineer exactly why each one worked or didn't, keep reading.

Contract duration of more than 6 months. with 40 hours per week.
