About the Project:
I recorded a series of 2-3 minute social media videos where I'm on camera doing hands-on activities (building, assembling) while delivering short lessons. Think casual, engaging and smart — not overly polished corporate content, but not raw and unedited either.
What This Test Video Needs:
• Clean editing of talking-head/hands-on footage
• Text overlays and captions throughout
• Visual elements (lower thirds, subtle motion graphics, transitions, images/visual add-ons when proper) that make the video feel dynamic and scroll-stopping
• Formatted for multiple platforms (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
I have reference samples I'll share with the right candidates so you can see the vibe I'm going for.
What I'm Looking For in an Editor:
• Strong portfolio showing social media video editing (not just long-form YouTube or wedding videos)
• Experience with text animation, motion graphics and visual overlays
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects or equivalent tools
• Ability to take a reference/mood direction and interpret it creatively
• Reliable communication and reasonable turnaround
Budget: $20 fixed price for this test project
How This Project is Structured:
Phase 1 – Test Video: $20 fixed price
One video from the series. I'll provide the footage, script and reference samples. You show me how you'd bring it to life.
Phase 2 – Full Series (21 additional episodes): $12 per video
If Phase 1 goes well, we move into the remaining episodes. Every video will follow roughly the same format and style template with the occasional graphic for that specific video, so production will get faster once the look is locked in.
Phase 3 – Bonus Videos: $20 per video
Additional episodes beyond the core series as they're filmed. Same style, same workflow.
The Bigger Picture:
This series is just the starting point. If the style, quality and working relationship click, there is consistent ongoing work across multiple brands and content types. I create content regularly and I'm looking for a creative partner, not a one-and-done freelancer. The right person here has the opportunity to become my go-to editor for the long haul.
