Mission
Responsibilities
A major nuclear project is currently under construction in Ontario. As part of this project, we are looking for a structural engineer who is motivated to join a dynamic team of engineers.
The Engineer's Responsibilities Will Include
Liaising with the client to discuss design and technical requirements
Working with the site team to develop methods, procedures, and calculations during the temporary works supporting the assembly, design, and fabrication of precast steel modules
Coordinating with backup teams in Paris (France) if complex issues requiring additional expertise arise
You will work on-site as part of a team at our client's location, maintaining regular contact with our back-office technical staff. As the project develops, this role may expand. Strong candidates could take on more responsibilities within the project or pursue wider opportunities at Setec in Canada.
Profil
We are seeking a Professional Engineer with extensive expertise in reinforced concrete design. Experience with steel concrete design is considered an asset. The ideal candidate will be capable of critically evaluating designs and recommending technical solutions, including innovative construction methods. A strong commitment to working on complex projects and contributing effectively to a team is essential, alongside demonstrated autonomy and proactive problem-solving skills.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
Professional Engineer (P.Eng) Ontario designation
Minimum of 5 years of experience
Proficiency in modeling software (SAP, ETABS, etc.) and in CSA (and ACI is a plus)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
