Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Controller at our Montreal, QC location. The Controller will be responsible for managing and overseeing all financial activities, including preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts. The individual will ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, maintain accounting policies and systems, and collaborate with other departments to achieve business objectives. Additionally, the role involves monitoring internal controls, analyzing financial data, and project management.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budget management
Proficiency in preparing forecasts, financial analyses, and managing accounting systems
Experience with internal controls, tax compliance, payroll processes, and bookkeeping
Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills
Advanced proficiency in accounting software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP systems) and MS Office Suite
Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA designation is a strong asset)
Experience in the software or petroleum marketing industry is a plus
Excellent communication skills in both French and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial documentation
