We are seeking an experienced Business Development Directorwithadeep understandingoftransportation and infrastructure markets. This roleis responsible forexpanding our market presence, building strategicrelationships, and securing new business opportunities in sectors such as transit, highways, bridges,ports, tunnels,aviationand smart infrastructure.Knowledge ofthe marketswithin the GTAisrequired.
TheBusiness Development Directorwill be reportingto theBusiness Leadermanaging the Transportation portfolio with a dotted line reporting to theCanadaChief Commercial Officer .
Developandimplementbusinessdevelopment strategies to grow the company's transportation and infrastructure portfolioinalignmentwith Egis' growth priorities.
Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities intransportation(road & highway,rail & transit,ports, tunnels, bridges, aviation.
Build andmaintainrelationshipswithgovernment agencies, engineering firms,major clients,contractorsand other key stakeholders.
Lead and oversee the full lifecycle of proposals / tenders / EOIs from opportunity identification, through bid strategy, to contract negotiation and closure, being the link between the Tender Unit team and the Operational team.
Manage Master Service Agreements (MSAs), including actively pursuing call-ups and the MSA.
Ensure the CRM data is updated to reflect Clients with which we have MSA/Standing Offer, or Rosters/Source List, or Retainer/Accord Cadre.
Drive and deliver revenue and profitability targets; manage the business development pipeline, ensuringaccurateforecasting and effective resource allocation.
Provide market intelligence:monitorregulatory changes, client needs, sector trends, and competitor activities to inform strategy.
Collaborate closely with technical, commercial, operations, and delivery teams to craft compelling value propositions, ensuring solutions are technically sound, commerciallyviable, and responsive to client needs.
Mentor, lead, and structure theBusiness Developmentteam; foster capability building withinBusiness Developmentfunctions (pursuit, proposal writing, client management).
Represent Egis externally -participatein conferences, forums, industry associations, and networking to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
Monitor and report on the progress of the transformation initiatives, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
Ensure effective communication and stakeholder engagement throughout the transformation process.
Identifyand mitigate risks associated with the transformation journey, ensuring successful delivery of the targeted business plan.

Bachelor's degree inCivilEngineering,Transportation Planning, Urban Development,Architecture, Business, or related field; master's degree or relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred.
Min 10+ years of progressive experience in business development, specializing intransportation and infrastructure marketsAbility to work independently and effectively in a high-pressure, fast-pacedenvironmenthandling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strategically minded, able to think creatively around Egisobjectivesand design the detailed steps necessary to achieve these goals.Capable ofdrivinginsight to action.
Proventrack recordofsecuring and managinglarge scale transportation engineering/infrastructure projects, preferably in Canada.
Extensive knowledgeof transportation systems,smartinfrastructuredevelopmentand relevant regulatory frameworks.
Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and ability to structure and close deals under complex terms.
Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams, working across disciplines (technical, commercial, delivery) inpursuitefforts.
Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience navigating complex government and industry landscapes.
Experienceinworking in a matrix organization, balancing global alignment with local execution.
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Excellentorganizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with government agencies andpublic-privatepartnerships.
Professional certifications (i.e.PMP, P. Eng. AICP) would be considered and asset.
ExcellentproficiencyinbothspokenandwrittenEnglish.
