Reporting to the Manager, Production Control, the analyst will play a key role in the management of hydrocarbons at our Montreal refinery. You will be responsible for coordinating activities related to data collection, reporting, reconciliation of transactions and inventories for the refinery and the proper management of hydrocarbons in the Montreal refinery. Minimum Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education with experience in petrochemicals, finance, sales, marketing, and/or product sourcing

  • Highly motivated autonomous individual with a desire to learn how to use new tools and processes (such as Honeywell Production Accounting Reconciliation and SAP)

  • Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel

  • Bilingualism (French and English) – please submit your resume in French

  • Good analytical skills, ability to adapt quickly to constant changes in plans, production and schedules

  • Very good organizational and planning skills.

Main tasks:

  • Collect the necessary data for the submission of various regulatory reports (renewable fuels: HRD, HRN, RNG, volumes by pipeline, etc.) and financial reports (royalties, etc.).

  • Collect data on our CO2 and sulphur production as well as our natural gas consumption

  • Perform data entry and perform validation of the various movements of estimated and actual volumes (inputs and outputs) into the appropriate computer tools.

  • Analyze and optimize the various logistics facilities to optimize product outputs from the refinery (truck rack, dock, etc.)

  • Collaborate in the reconciliation of inventories in the SAP system with the physical inventories of the refinery

  • Support operations by optimizing all rail and truck shipments

  • Review the performance of blending strategies with feedback to the LP model when required (performance report on VPN, cloud point, diesel blends, etc.)

  • Work in close collaboration with the operation and the Production Control Coordinator to meet the volumes and schedules provided for in the monthly production plan ("Forecast")

  • Assist the team in responding to unforeseen situations by coordinating the implementation of solutions to minimize the impact on customers

  • Collaborate effectively with all refinery groups: support projects related to the movement of hydrocarbons, support maintenance according to equipment maintenance, etc

Location and other important details:

  • You will work in our Montreal office, located at 11701 Sherbrooke Street East

  • Normal working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of extended working hours as required
