We are building a service to add on to our currect financial firm, an AI-powered financial forecasting platform designed for freelancers, gig workers, 1099 contractors, retirees, and individuals earning under $150K annually.
The product helps users:
Forecast monthly cash flow
Estimate quarterly self-employment taxes
Understand "safe-to-spend" amounts
Gain financial clarity without spreadsheets
This is a greenfield build (from scratch) inside my Bubble workspace.
We are seeking an experienced Bubble developer to architect and implement Phase 1 (MVP) with clean, scalable structure and secure backend logic.
Phase 1 Scope (MVP)
The developer will:
Core Architecture
Design and implement database schema
Configure privacy rules (user-isolated financial data)
Set up backend workflows
AI Integration
Integrate OpenAI via API Connector
Build backend workflow for:
Monthly Forecast (cash_in, cash_out, predicted_surplus, safe_to_spend)
Quarterly Tax Estimate (federal_estimate, payment_due)
Parse JSON responses and save structured results to database
Implement error handling for malformed API responses
Dashboard UI
Build clean financial dashboard
Connect workflows to frontend buttons
Display latest Forecast & TaxEstimate per user
Add loading states and basic UX polish
Stripe Integration
Implement Stripe Checkout
Sync subscription status to database
Configure webhook (test mode only)
Gate features based on subscription tier
Finalization
Ensure mobile responsiveness
Conduct functional testing
Provide documentation or Loom walkthrough upon completion
THIS IS A 4 PHASE PROJECT. THIS IS JUST THE 1ST PHASE
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 40 hours per week.
