The mine is located a short drive from Wawa, deep in the forest where it is scenic and quiet. It is a real 'boots on the ground' setting. Team members reside in a camp environment and typically work on rotations, depending on the position. About the Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Geologist – Core Logger to support geology activities at our mine. This role plays a critical part in the accurate logging, sampling, and management of diamond drill core to support resource definition, mine planning, and exploration programs.

You are a detail-driven individual with a strong interest in gold geology and hands-on field work. You take pride in accurate data collection, enjoy working as part of a team, and are comfortable working in a remote camp environment.
Position Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Job Duties
- Log diamond drill core accurately and consistently, including lithology, alteration, mineralization, structures, and geotechnical information (core recovery measurements and Rock Quality Designation – RQD).,
- Mark up, sample, and prepare core for assay in accordance with established procedures
- Maintain high standards of data quality, ensuring all geological data is entered into databases in a timely and accurate manner
- Log orientated core following established company procedures
- Operate a Toyota vehicle underground, to transport staff to and from the core shack
- Photograph, orient, and manage drill core, ensuring proper storage and organization of core facilities
- Support drill programs by coordinating core handling and communicating observations to the geology team
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures at site including the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Regulations for Mines and Mining Plants
- Maintain database & records as pertaining to geology department (plans, sections (geology & assay) drilling logs, etc.
- Properly use and follow the Five Point Safety System.
- Perform other geology-related duties and tasks as required
Qualifications and Experience
- Undergraduate Degree in Geology and/or Geological Engineering
- Valid driver's license
- Minimum of 1-5 years related field experience is required
- Proficient with exploration/mining software systems and Microsoft Office (e.g. GeoticLog, Excel, Microsoft Word)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team setting as well as meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working in a 'camp' setting (remote) for shift rotation
- Physically capable of handling drill core and working in a core shack setting, carrying roughly 50 lbs. of core boxes
- Extended periods of time standing throughout the day

Location: Eagle River Mine, North of Wawa, ON
Shift / Hours of Work: 12-hour days
Schedule / Rotation: 14/14 day rotation
Type of Hire: Full-time, Permanent
