Website Redesign for Housing Development Platform (Wix)
Job Description:
We are looking for a web designer to redesign our company website for Plinth Labs. The goal is to create a new site (not just edit the existing one) that clearly communicates our updated business model.
Plinth Labs is a housing development platform that connects landowners and real estate developers with prefabricated housing manufacturers. We help coordinate feasibility, permitting, project management, and prefab deployment to create rental housing on underutilized land.
Our current website:
The new site should reposition the company from a "housing product company" to a "development platform."
Project Scope
The designer will:
Create a new Wix website (or redesign structure using Wix)
Redesign the homepage layout and messaging hierarchy
Organize content around platform services rather than just housing units
Create simple graphics/sections that explain the process
Ensure the site looks modern, minimal, and professional
Make the site easy to understand for homeowners, developers, and investors
We are not looking for heavy branding work — this is primarily:
layout
structure
messaging clarity
user flow
Homepage Structure (target direction)
We want the homepage to communicate:
What Plinth does (platform for housing deployment)
Who Plinth is for (landowners, developers, investors)
How the platform works (simple process graphic)
Prefabricated housing unit options
Call to action to start a project
The site should feel similar in clarity and structure to platform companies (not prefab product catalogs).
Design Direction
We are looking for:
clean, minimal layout
modern startup-style design
strong hierarchy and readability
simple icons and diagrams
professional but approachable tone
Deliverables
New Wix site structure
Redesigned homepage
Updated page layouts
Mobile-responsive design
Guidance on migrating domain to the new site
Contract duration of less than 1 month. with 30 hours per week.
