We are hiring an experienced Oracle DBA for an exciting opportunity with one of Canada's largest and most recognized retail enterprises. Our client operates at massive enterprise scale, supporting mission-critical systems that serve millions of customers across the country. This is a high-impact role within a mature, technology-driven environment.
Role: Oracle Database Administrator
Location: Brampton, ON (4 Days Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience: 10–15 Years
Key Responsibilities:
Install, upgrade, and configure Oracle Database (12c, 19c, 21c)
Implement and manage RMAN backup & recovery strategies
Perform advanced database performance tuning
Monitor and ensure database health and availability
Manage database security, roles, and access controls
Support production, development, and testing environments
Execute patching, upgrades, and database maintenance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues
Required Qualifications:
10–15 years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience
Strong expertise in Oracle 12c, 19c, and 21c
Advanced knowledge of RMAN and Data Pump
Proven performance tuning and troubleshooting experience
Experience with High Availability & Disaster Recovery
Strong understanding of database security management
Excellent analytical and stakeholder communication skills
