Über
Data Career Jumpstart is a data analytics education brand helping people break into data careers. We're looking for a reliable video editor to join our team and take ownership of our weekly YouTube content.
Channel:
Responsibilities:
- Edit 1 long-form YouTube video per week (talking head, educational format)
- Edit Shorts and additional content as needed
- Sometimes we batch-record episodes ahead of time, so you'll need to manage your editing queue and stay on top of deadlines
- Communicate with the team via Slack
Requirements:
- Proven experience editing talking head and/or educational YouTube videos.
- Proficient in at least one professional editing tool (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar) and comfortable using Descript for minor edits
- Minimalist / "anti-edit" editing style: clean, polished, no over-the-top effects, the content leads, not the editing
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable working async in Slack
- Able to meet weekly deadlines consistently
How to apply:
Send us your portfolio along with 1–3 videos that represent your best work. If we like what we see, we'll send you a 1-minute test sample to edit. If we like the test sample, you'll move on to a fully paid test video.
This is NOT an agency role. We're looking for an individual editor who becomes part of our team, someone we communicate with directly and who understands our brand.
Compensation:
$90–$125 per video (~$500–$700/month).
