We are seeking diligent Order Pickers to join our warehouse team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As an Order Picker, you will be instrumental in ensuring that customer orders are accurately assembled and prepared for shipment. This role is essential to our logistics operations, requiring precision, efficiency, and a strong focus on safety. You will navigate the warehouse, locate specific products using pick lists or scanners, and prepare them for the packing station. A commitment to upholding safety standards and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is non-negotiable. We offer a competitive hourly wage and a supportive work environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves based on order details.
- Use RF scanners or manual pick lists to identify and collect products.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order documentation.
- Transport picked items to the designated packing or staging area.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate efficient operations.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including the consistent use of PPE.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory immediately.
- Assist with inventory checks and cycle counts as directed.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow warehouse associates and supervisors.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous order picking or warehouse experience is beneficial.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 40 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Understanding of basic warehouse logistics.
- Commitment to workplace safety and wearing required PPE.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Good time management skills and ability to meet picking quotas.
